Modern training for thinking dogs

I believe every dog learns best when training is fun, rewarding, and tailored to who they are as an individual.

My approach combines two powerful ingredients: movement and energy (Bounce) and mental challenge and problem-solving (Brain).

When dogs get the chance to use both, their confidence grows, behaviours improve, and relationships flourish.

    Bounce & Brain Classes

Bounce & Brain classes offer a unique training experience centred around creative obedience. Inspired by a range of dog sports, these sessions blend physical movement, mental puzzles, and teamwork in a way that keeps dogs fully engaged and motivated.

Each class features a rotating combination of activities such as:

Movement puzzles using buckets, targets, and physical markers

    Distance handling and send-aways

Trick training to build body awareness and confidence

Scent work to encourage calm focus and problem-solving

Novel challenges drawn from agility, rally, parkour, and other disciplines

Because we always vary the contents, your dog is always faced with something new, which strengthens adaptability, boosts cognitive skills, and prevents boredom — making Bounce & Brain a fun and enriching choice for dogs of all ages and abilities to build a solid partnership.

    Scentwork Classes

Scentwork classes tap into your dog’s natural instinct to explore the world with their nose.

We begin with simple scent games using food and treats that you can easily play at home or on walks.

As your dog gains confidence, we build up to recognising and discriminating specific scents in a variety of scenarios — just like detection and sniffer dogs.

We will also explore the basics of trailing a human scent.

Scentwork is a fantastic activity for all breeds and ages.

It channels their innate drive to sniff, encourages calm focus, boosts confidence, and provides powerful mental and physical enrichment.

Even so your dog may do all the work, it is very much a team sport, where you will need to learn how your dog communicates with you on a search.

It’s also surprisingly tiring (15 to 20min of focused scentwork is equivalent to around an hour’s physical walk!) - a great way to help your dog relax after a fun and fulfilling session.

  • Cartoon of a playful dog with one paw raised, standing on grass in a park, surrounded by trees and a fallen log. The dog appears happy with its tongue out and ears perked up as it experiences enriching walks with his owner.

    Enriching Walks

Enriching Walks are designed to help you bring variety, confidence, and purpose into your time outdoors.
Together, we explore activities, games, and training strategies tailored specifically to your dog’s needs — whether they need more mental stimulation, calm exploration, problem-solving opportunities, or simply a change of pace.

1-hour video consultation to understand your dog, your routines, and your goals

    • 2 x 1-hour guided walk where we put personalised strategies into practice
